How it works:
Michigan’s busiest Secretary of State offices have launched a program that allows citizens to schedule appointments and get in line in advance. Michigan residents can take advantage of the customer service technology by calling, texting or signing up online. The system will then call or send a text message when the customer’s turn is approaching. Those who do not own a computer or mobile phone can stop by the office, check in at a special MI-TIME Line kiosk and obtain an estimated wait time.
The program aims to reduce waiting times at the ten busiest Secretary of State locations, known as SUPER!Centers, that together handle more than two million transactions a year.
The State of Hawaii currently offers over 100 online services including eFile tax returns, traffic payments, marriage license payments, state park camping reservations and more.
