Technology is both our friend and foe. It can make our lives easier but can also make us more vulnerable. Fortunately, Hawaii’s state leaders are taking charge of our future and investing in new systems, starting with a new financial management system.
In alignment with the State of Hawaii’s long-term commitment to strategic business and information technology transformation, the Enterprise Financial System (EFS) Project aims to implement a new financial system that will modernize current business operations and continue to evolve with the future needs of the State. The main objectives of the EFS Project consist of improving the accuracy, speed, and integration of financial operations; reducing redundancy, and manual work; and implementing a scalable system that can continue to adapt to the State’s future business needs.
